Santiago Cárdenas: Guitarists, Composer and Arranger
Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Santiago Cárdenas has come to the United States with the folkloric music of Latin-America in his veins and a family shared passion for music of all genres. Santiago started playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon after began taking classical guitar lessons with Robert Ward. After a couple of years of classical study Santiago found a new love in Jazz, and while maintaining his classical studies, began to study Jazz and joining the Brookline High School Jazz Band. After graduating High School, Santiago took his studies abroad and submerged himself in the flamenco life and music of Granada, Spain. After five intensive months of study in Spain, Santiago returned to pursuit a musical education and Berklee College of Music, where he is majoring in Contemporary Music and Production.
